If it is the same as mine you can pop the plastic top part off first with a screwdriver at either end but the light diffuser is held on by two screws.

I ve tried whitening the cover but it didn t make much difference which is why i m looking for a replacement which is bright enough to illuminate the awning. I took mine off only two weeks ago to replace the ordinary single filament bulbs with led bulbs but you have to squeeze the top and bottom in together and use a small thin electrical screwdriver to eventually lift off the lens at the bottom lugs first and then finally lift off the top two. You have to take to top cover off first to get to the screws.
